Laser surface repair is a processing technique that is commonly used in the materials industry, especially in the metal materials industry. Laser surface repair can improve the performance of metal products, improve their efficiency or increase their useful life, and sometimes make cheaper metal materials replace expensive materials. For example, the surface abrasion resistance of mechanical components such as crankshafts and pistons is very high, but there is no such requirement inside. In order to save on high-grade alloy materials, cheap cast iron is usually used to make the parts, and then laser surface repair technology is used on the parts.
